A.W. Tozer

This is a quote from A. W. Tozer's book The Root of the Righteous in "Praise God for the Furnace" (pp. 137)

The devil, things, and people being what they are, it is necessary for God to use the hammer, the file and the furnace in His holy work of preparing a saint for true sainthood. It is doubtful whether God can bless a man greatly until He has hurt him deeply.

I found a funny quote from Charles Shafer (English professor) on a forum about Trinity Baptist College.

Dr. Shafer's resonse to a student's question if the word "French" was a verb

"Of course not! Have you ever 'frenched' anything!?... uhm... Don't answer that."
