Welcome to James' weblog
Saturday, June 10th, 2006 I was working on my Sunday School lession in James and I came upon a verse that made\
me think about what the Supreme Court is doing.
But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. James 4:11b While in context it does not really apply, the supreme court really have become judges of the law. If they don't like something, they just have to say it is unconstitutional based upon their own personal interpretation of the consitution, not based upon what it really says. The beginning of the verse says, "Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law." So if a Christian speaks badly about a fellow Christian, he is speaking evil about God's law and judges God's law.
